JUNO award winning Soprano Kathleen Radke holds an Honours Bachelor of Music and a Performance Diploma (Voice) from McMaster University. She also holds an Opera Diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University, where she studied with bass-baritone Daniel Lichti.
As a member of the Festival Choir of the European Music Festival under the direction of Helmuth Rilling, she had the opportunity to perform in prestigious venues in Stuttgart, Bonn, Athens, and Berlin. Kathleen has had the opportunity to tour China as part of the 16th Annual Meet in Beijing Festival and has been a featured soloist on several European tours, including multiple performances at Bachfest Leipzig. She has sung in Germany, Italy, England, Austria, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Mexico. Kathleen was praised as one of the soloists in Gramophone Magazine for her "exquisite" contribution on the Ottawa Bach Choir's 2020 JUNO award winning CD recording of Handel's Dixit Dominus.
Operatic highlights include Pamina and Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Ännchen (Der Freischütz), Mlle. Silberklang (Die Schauspieldirektor), Elisetta (Il matrimonio segreto), Oberto (Alcina), The Announcer (Gallantry: A Soap Opera), Najade (Ariadne auf Naxos), Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica) and the Princess in R. Murray Schafer’s Princess of the Stars. Kathleen has performed with the Kingston Chamber Choir, Ottawa Bach Choir, Montreal Symphony Orchestra, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Canadian Centennial Choir, Opera Lyra, New Opera Lyra, OperOttawa, SOPAC Ottawa, Rideau Chorale, Caelis Academy Ensemble, Opera by Request, Deep River Symphony Orchestra, La Chapelle de Québec, Polycoro, Thirteen Strings, Seventeen Voyces, Ottawa Chamber Orchestra, the Ottawa Valley Music Festival and the Isabel Voices.
